Blue Eye on Grey Background
I believe our dysfunction sometimes comes from us having to adjust and survive through the hard stuff we've been through in life. The aftermath of those situations can leave us with unhelpful thoughts about ourselves, such as "I'm inadequate".
I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients challenge those unhelpful thoughts, transforming them to more helpful ones, like "I'm okay as I am and I have value".
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy commonly used to treat trauma and unhealthy thinking about ourselves, others, and the world. This type of therapy involves tapping on our body, breathing techniques, calming meditations, and eye movements - all of which can be adapted to best fit your needs.
